Doug obtained his license with the
state of North Carolina in May 1982. Being a
lifetime
resident of the Triad area, he saw a need for a
contractor who works for the homeowner or
business owner rather than for the contractor.
He observed there were many dealers in the area
who were more interested in doing work as
quickly as possible without the attention to
detail that Doug is well noted for. He could see
that the home owner and/or business owner was
not being given the consideration of quality and
service that they so deserved but rather that
the building contractor was given priority in
his desires for “lowest price” with no regard to
quality and efficiency of equipment and
installation. During the early 80’s, the “smart
consumer” was on the horizon and was beginning
to pay attention to equipment efficiency to
conserve energy and save on utilities. This was
just the type customer Mitchell preferred and
the kind he went after. He hired installation
and service technicians whom he knew would work
with the same integrity, knowledge, concern and
honesty that he had founded his business on.
Much has happened since 1983 and as consumers
have grown more demanding, Doug Mitchell has
continued to meet them with prepared office
staff and field staff; trained to put you, the
customer first. Hence the slogan, “Satisfied
Customers are Our Biggest Assets” continues to
be the personality of Mitchell Heating and Air.
